Turkey & Syria

Undoubtedly, you all have heard about the terrible events in Turkey and Syria.

Our hearts bled just as yours did, and our thoughts and compassion were with the families affected.

As Amanah Charity, we too wanted to extend immediate assistance and stand by the people during these challenging times, offering a helping hand to lift them up again.

We engaged in numerous discussions and explored all possibilities to provide assistance in these countries. Naturally, time was not on our side, and we were under tremendous time pressure.

Unfortunately, despite all efforts and research, it was not possible to find the perfect and suitable partner. Therefore, we continue to uphold the principles and values that Amanah Charity has followed from the beginning.

Amanah Charity aims to maintain a 100% donation guarantee for its projects, which, unfortunately, would not have been possible in this case. Therefore, with heavy hearts, we have decided that, for the time being, we cannot proceed with a project in these countries.

We acknowledge that the impact of this earthquake is far from over. Hunger crises, poverty, diseases, and homelessness will continue to be issues in these areas in the future. Therefore, Amanah Charity has undertaken the task of establishing a robust network in these regions to be able to implement such projects in the near future.
