Education is extremely rare in Somalia, as only a tiny proportion of children attend school at all. Just 13 out of 100 boys and 7 out of 100 girls have access to a school. This sad reality is due to the long existence of a poor education system, which was already neglected during the colonial era.

To address this lack of education, Amanah Charity is working with our local partners to promote education. We concentrate on providing school materials and meals, as many children have to travel long distances to school. We want to ensure that the children are well prepared for their lessons.

Our goal as an organization is to make education more accessible and thus improve the future of Somalia. For an entire class of 55 to 60 pupils, the monthly costs amount to CHF 750. With your donation, we can help to ensure that children in Somalia finally receive an education that will offer them better opportunities in the future. Every contribution is important and helps to improve the educational situation in Somalia.
